Biography
Grammatrain, an alternative CCM outfit, featured vocalist and guitarist Pete Stewart alongside bassist Dalton Roraback and his brother Paul on drums. The Seattle-formed trio issued their self-titled debut album independently in 1994. That release caught the ear of ForeFront Records executive Eddie DeGarmo, who promptly brought the band aboard and oversaw the 1995 follow-up Lonely House. Christian radio embraced the album, which spawned the singles “Believe,” “She Don’t Know,” and “Execution” and earned a Dove Award nomination in the Best Modern Rock/Alternative Album category. Flying arrived two years later.
