Biography
Squad Five-O, a glam rock outfit built around vocalist Jeff Fortson, bassist John Fortson, guitarist Adam Garbinski and drummer Justin Garbinski, fuses its own strain of punk with garage rock touches and classic guitar rhythms. After inking a deal with Tooth & Nail Records, the quartet issued its debut album, Bombs Over Broadway, in summer 2000, following a string of independent releases. What I Believe arrived in early 2001. Justin Garbinski exited the group within the following year to chase other pursuits. One:21’s Kris Klein and local drummer Dave Petersen joined the ranks, and Squad Five-O delivered a self-titled album in spring 2002. Its punk-pop energy remained undiminished, expanding the band’s following across multiple continents. A 2003 agreement with Capitol brought the musicians together with producer Matt Wallace (Faith No More, The Replacements) for their fourth studio album, Late News Breaking, which surfaced in summer 2004.
