Biography
In the fall of 1991, Ghoti Hook took shape as a pop-punk group headquartered in Washington, D.C., its roster consisting of vocalist Joel Bell, cousins Conrad Tolosa and Jamie Tolosa on guitar, bassist Christian Ergueta, and drummer Adam Neubauer. Once a loyal following had taken root across the northeastern United States, the band delivered its first full-length release, Sumo Surprise, in 1996. Banana Man surfaced the next year, after which primary songwriter Conrad departed to resume his studies. A set of cover material titled Songs We Didn't Write surfaced in 1998, with Two Years to Never arriving in 2000. Tooth and Nail issued the career overview Retrospective in 2002.
