Biography
Greg Fitzsimmons, the standup comedian, serves as host for a program on Howard Stern’s radio network and holds four Daytime Emmys earned through his roles as writer and producer on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. He entered the world in New York City and first took the stage as a comic during his time as a student at Boston University. Spots on the Late Show with David Letterman and additional late-night programs opened the door to hosting duties for MTV’s game show Idiot Savants, which began in 1996. Two years after that debut he taped his initial Comedy Central Presents special, then signed on as a writer for both The Man Show and The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2003. By 2006 he was contributing scripts to Louie C.K.’s series Lucky Louie while simultaneously debuting The Greg Fitzsimmons Show on Howard Stern’s satellite channel Howard 101. The year 2010 brought the publication of his book Dear Mrs. Fitzsimmons: Tales of Redemption from an Irish Mailbox, and 2013 marked the arrival of his first album, Life on Stage.
