Haley Smalls

Haley Smalls, an independent R&B performer, aligns her mellow yet sharply expressive vocals with direct and honest songwriting. The Toronto native first stepped forward via mixtape with This Is Me in 2015 and has since issued three further tapes plus an EP, capped by her debut full-length effort Summer Nights in 2019.

Also active as a recording engineer, Smalls built an initial profile through guest spots before stepping out as a lead artist in 2015, the same year that brought both her opening and follow-up mixtapes, This Is Me and Imagination. Those projects forged an enduring production alliance with Megaman, already known for beats crafted for Drake and Lil Wayne. Over the ensuing three years her output expanded sharply, adding the two further tapes The Cure and The Cure II along with the EP Heart of Gold, while the five-track Off the Cuff assembled leftover material. Together with a string of standalone singles, these releases paved the way for the 2019 album Summer Nights. One standout cut, the trap-styled slow jam “Keeper,” quickly surpassed a million streams across various platforms. Her momentum held steady through 2020 and 2021 via a consistent run of singles such as “Body High,” “Saturn,” and “Tk Ur Time.”
