Biography
Formed as an all-female Belgian group, Ian Van Dahl rose to prominence through the work of DJs and producers Christophe Chantzis and Erick Vanspawen. The project’s opening single, “Castles in the Sky,” drew from the dissolution of a relationship and quickly reached the Top Ten in Germany, the U.K., and Canada. First captured on tape by vocalist Marsha, born Martine Theeuwen, the 2001 dancefloor anthem later featured new vocals from AnneMie, born Annemie Coenen, and was presented onstage with the assistance of professional dancers Diana Dander and Jeanine Tiemissen. Ian Van Dahl’s first album, A.C.E., yielded further successes with the singles “Will I” and “Reason.”
