Emerging onto the scene in 2000, the Belgian electronica duo Sylver—previously operating under the moniker Liquid ft. Sylvie—quickly gained traction with their initial release. The track "Turn the Tide" ascended to number one on the official local club/dance chart shortly following its launch. To form this electronica-focused project aimed at the Europop landscape, producer Regi Penxten and DJ/keyboardist Wout van Dessel, who entered the world in 1974, enlisted the vocal talents of Silvy De Bie, born in 1981. Subsequent to the massive achievement of that opening single, January saw the arrival of "Skin," with "Forever In Love" appearing by April 2001. The album Chances from Sylver showcased a collection of their popular tracks alongside various remixes.
