Biography
Carlo Resoort, the Dutch DJ, remixer, and producer recognized as 4 Strings, scored his debut success on the British charts during 1999 through Alena's track "Turn It Around." Before settling on the 4 Strings identity, he had recorded under the names Taska, Topcat, Square, and Carlos. After selecting this new moniker, he issued "Day Time," a club/dance number whose words came from Rob Davis and whose vocals were delivered by Arianne Schreiber. The follow-up hit "(Take Me Away) Into the Night" first appeared on Liquid Records, then received a reissue from the U.K. label Nebula that placed it on Paul Van Dyk's mix album The Politics of Dancing and various other compilations.
