Biography
Formed in San Jose, California during 1995, Insolence consisted of vocalists Billy "Mech 1" Rosenthal and Mark Herman, bassist Paul Perry, turntablist DJ Jerry M. Delalo, and drummer Mando Cardenas. The quintet fused aggressive hard rock styles with hip-hop components to produce a distinctive modern rock aesthetic. Mike Rowan came aboard as guitarist ahead of the group's signing to Maverick early in the 2000s. Their inaugural album, Hed to Hed, appeared during spring 2001.
