Jam El Mar

Having trained initially as a classical musician, Rolf Ellmer, known professionally as Jam el Mar, ranks among Germany’s most productive creators of house and trance music. His most prominent association has been with Mark Spoon, a leading figure in the German dance community. The two began their collaboration in 1992 and issued material under several aliases, among them Jam & Spoon, Tokyo Ghetto Pussy, and Storm. Standout releases include the Jam & Spoon cuts “Stella” and “Age of Love,” Tokyo Ghetto Pussy’s “I Kiss Your Lips,” and Storm’s “Time to Burn.”
