Biography
Hailing from Redondo Beach, California, where she was born and raised, singer/songwriter Jayme Dee drew the interest of Universal Republic by posting a series of catchy cover songs on YouTube. Her upbringing featured regular listening to Aretha Franklin, Frank Sinatra, and Patsy Cline, while her own songs draw primary influence from the modern pop approach of Amy Winehouse, Norah Jones, and Lily Allen, tempered by a nostalgic tone that reflects lasting ties to those earlier inspirations. During 2012 she secured placement for the track "Rules" on the Hunger Games soundtrack and intended to issue her full-length debut before the year ended.
