Biography
Guitarist Jim Matheos first gained recognition through his role in the foundational progressive metal group Fates Warning, yet his sporadic solo projects have charted a markedly separate course. His initial outing under his own name arrived in 1993 with First Impressions, an album devoted to contemplative acoustic instrumentals cast in a new age vein. The next release, Away With Words, surfaced in 1999 and adhered to that same stylistic path.
