Kaash Paige, an understated singer, rapper, and songwriter from Texas, first gained notice as a teenager through the yearning 2019 ballad “Love Songs.” The track became a viral sensation and landed on Billboard’s Hot R&B Songs chart one week before the seven-track Parked Car Convos EP appeared. Her debut album, Teenage Fever, followed in 2020. In 2022 she returned with the singles “Girlfriend,” “24 Hrs” featuring Lil Tjay, and “Doubted Me.”

Born D’kyla Paige Woolen and raised in Grand Prairie, she later settled in nearby Dallas. Sports occupied more of her early attention than music, yet she began writing and recording during high school, posting material on SoundCloud. Several labels took interest by early 2019, leading to a Def Jam recording contract. Her first major-label release, “Love Songs,” caught fire among TikTok users and entered the Hot R&B Songs chart in November. Parked Car Convos arrived days later, listing the single as a bonus track. A 6lack remix surfaced by the close of January 2020, coinciding with the EP’s appearance on the Heatseekers chart. Later that year she issued the standalone tracks “Frank Ocean” and “Jaded” while signing a management agreement with Roc Nation. Teenage Fever, her first full-length project, reached number two on the Heatseekers tally. The 2022 single “Girlfriend” opened her release schedule, followed by “24 Hrs” featuring Lil Tjay and “Doubted Me.”
