Lamar Campbell & Spirit Of Praise

Lamar Campbell serves as a modern gospel composer who directs the expansive vocal ensemble known as Spirit of Praise. Prior to assembling this group during the middle portion of the 1990s, his reputation centered primarily on composing material for various ensembles, such as the GMWA Women of Worship. Over time, he recruited several seasoned vocalists to establish Spirit of Praise. The ensemble issued its initial recording, Ready, through Tyscot Records during 1995. In 1998, the act transitioned to EMI Gospel and put out Lamar Campbell & Spirit of Praise. This was succeeded by I Need Your Spirit during the middle of 1999, while When I Think About You appeared the subsequent year.
