Lex The Hex Master

MC Lex the Hex Master, a Queens, New York native devoted to hardcore and horrorcore rap, joined Twiztid’s Majik Ninja roster through an unexpected online discovery. Early on, Nas and 2Pac shaped his listening habits, yet an intense admiration for DMX pushed him toward a louder, more exaggerated delivery. That shift introduced him to Twiztid, Insane Clown Posse, and Blaze Ya Dead Homie, prompting him to adopt face paint and horrorcore themes as his signature approach. Although based in New York City, he had no idea how widespread the horrorcore movement had become until his tracks reached Twiztid, who signed him to Majik Ninja in 2015. The scale of the audience at the duo’s New Year’s Evil 8 festival later that year left him astonished, and he responded by issuing The Black Season EP shortly afterward. In 2016 he appeared as a featured performer at ICP’s Gathering of the Juggalos and delivered his first full-length album, Contact.
