Biography
Detroit rapper Doe Dubbla, who also records as the Jinx, performs under the additional alias Big Hoodoo. After Psychopathic Records—the independent Farmington Hills, Michigan label established by Alex Abbiss and Insane Clown Posse—severed ties with longtime flagship act Twiztid, the imprint urgently sought a successor. Doe Dubbla stepped into that role as Big Hoodoo, a flamboyant persona blending the macabre theatricality of Screamin' Jay Hawkins with the exaggerated, masked antics of a low-budget wrestling villain. Insane Clown Posse contributed substantially to the making of his first full-length release, Crystal Skull, a horrorcore effort typical of the roster that showcases Dubbla's dramatic incantations and curses; the project stands out in particular for avoiding any mention of the term “juggalo” and arrived during summer 2013. His follow-up album, Asylum, appeared in June 2016.
