Biography
Originating from Denver, Colorado, the rapper known as Young Wicked first appeared under the name Otis as one member of the Axe Murder Boyz duo. Together with his sibling Mike, professionally recognized as Bonez Dubb, the musician born James Garcia put out the duo’s initial project, Tha Underground Stylistikz, during 1999. The pair followed with eight additional albums through the early 2000s, eventually entering the Juggalo family during 2006. After inking a deal with Insane Clown Posse’s Psychopathic Records, they delivered their tenth full-length effort, Blood in, Blood Out, which entered the Billboard 200. Following four more albums and a shift in labels, Garcia launched his solo career via the 2013 mixtape Young Wicked: The Mixtape, Vol. 1. In the subsequent year he became part of Psychopathic Records’ supergroup the Killjoy Club, though only temporarily. Under the Young Wicked name he unveiled his first proper studio album, Slaughter (Psychopathic), in 2015. That release included contributions from Bonez Dubb and rapper JellyRoll, plus Garcia’s characteristically dark interpretation of Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Game.” New Year’s Eve 2016 brought the announcement of his signing to Twiztid’s Majik Ninja imprint, with the Vengeance EP appearing on that same date.
