Biography
Nathan Barlowe, lead vocalist and guitarist of the Nashville rock group Luna Halo, was born in Raleigh, North Carolina. He first sharpened his abilities inside Reality Check, a modern rock Christian outfit, prior to launching Luna Halo in 1999. Sparrow Records issued the band’s CCM-oriented debut album Shimmer in 2000. Although the record drew favorable notices, Barlowe grew disillusioned with the Christian music business and exited Sparrow’s roster. A fresh lineup gradually took shape, featuring his younger brother Cary Barlowe on guitar, after which the reconfigured ensemble put out several EPs and shared stages with Hoobastank and Velvet Revolver. American Recordings signed the band in 2005; two years later Luna Halo delivered its self-titled sophomore album on American/Columbia Records.
