Hailing from Los Angeles, Luna Shadows operates as a singer, songwriter, and producer whose output blends haunting and lush pop elements with an added layer of warmth. Her initial recognition arrived during the second half of the 2010s through moody electro-pop releases such as "Cry Wolf" and "Hallelujah California." Following an initial EP titled Youth, she issued her first full-length project, Digital Pacific, in 2021. Subsequent offerings including "Witches' Brew" and "Little Rituals" surfaced across the ensuing period and signaled a pivot toward guitar-centered indie rock textures.

A pianist and vocalist grounded in classical technique, Shadows grew up in New York and completed her studies at LaGuardia Arts High School there before relocating to Los Angeles. Immersed in the atmosphere of her adopted West Coast surroundings, she started crafting dark, hook-driven pop that echoed forebears like Lana Del Rey and Lorde. Working alongside producers Thom Powers (the Naked and Famous) and Brad Hale (Now, Now Every Children), she issued her opening single, "Cry Wolf," during the first months of 2016. Follow-up releases "Hallelujah California" and "Cherry" broadened the dreamy pop framework and heightened her profile leading into the 2017 Youth EP. Additional pieces such as "Be the One" and "Waves" appeared as she refined her approach to songwriting and studio production. All of these elements converged on the 2021 release Digital Pacific, an expansive 18-track album issued via +1 Records that markedly increased her reach. Over the following two years her aesthetic shifted further from its electronic roots toward guitar-based composition. The 2023 track "Witches' Brew," built around spectral guitar and strings, marked a decisive move into this revised direction, which gained additional clarity on the brighter "Little Rituals."
