Biography
Formed as a Chilean female ensemble drawing primary influence from Afro-American sounds, Mamma Soul launched its career by participating alongside other local acts in a homage to revered Chilean rock figures Los Prisioneros, contributing the track "Estrechez De Corazón" to the album Tributo a Los Prisioneros. Following the issuance of their single "Consecuencia," the group earned recognition as Best Female Band before promptly inking a deal with EMI and laying down the album Fe.
