Emerging amid Chile's mid-'80s underground, the hardcore/punk quartet Fiskales Ad-Hok entered the local scene precisely as fresh Latin rock outfits began multiplying. Their name originated with a public prosecutor tasked with investigating those who defied the military regime. The group soon ranked among Chile's foremost punk/rock acts, distinguished by lyrics confronting contentious social topics. An opening slot for the Ramones arrived in 1990, prompting the band to record a self-titled album issued the next year. After signing with BMG, Fiskales Ad-Hok released 1995's Traga. Two years afterward they supplied "Campanitas" and "Incoherencias" to the compilation Uno, issued by C.F.A. (Corporación Fonográfica Autonoma). The band resurfaced in 1998 with Fiesta.
