La Floripondio

Formed in Chile during 1991, la Floripondio began as a punk rock quartet fronted by vocalist Aldo Asenjo. Their opening release, Muriendo Con Las Botas Puestas, reached listeners in 1993. Guitarist Rodrigo Neira entered the lineup the next year, prompting the group to explore fresh textures by bringing in percussionist Juan Gronemeyer and trumpet player Alejandro Ibañez. After inking a deal with the independent imprint Alerce, the band issued La Manda Del Ladrón De Melipilla and then Atontahuayoprensao. The collective relocated to Europe in 1999, where its live performances quickly gained momentum.
