Before taking the stage name Marjo, award-winning Quebec singer/songwriter Marjolène Morin appeared in two musicals and then became a member of the popular rock group Corbeau in 1979. She exited the band not long afterward in order to launch a solo career, an endeavor that brought her a Genie award for the theme song to the film La Femme Lhôtel. Her first album, Celle Qui Va, arrived in 1986 and was succeeded by Tant Qu'il y Aura des Enfants (1990), Bohémienne (1995), Bootleg Blues (1998), Sans Retour (2001), and Turquoise (2005).
