Michael Allen Harrison

Oregon native Michael Allen Harrison has cultivated a standing as an unusually productive pianist whose style spans multiple genres ever since the commercial debut of his first album, Tea Court Interlude, in 1986. On the independent MAH imprint he issued nearly twenty recordings of his own between 1992 and 2002. Those projects encompassed everything from film scores and ballet pieces to interpretations of Gershwin and seasonal holiday material. Emotional Connection, which appeared in 1992, accompanied the space shuttle Endeavor during its orbital mission, while Circle of Influence, released the following year, traveled aboard the Discovery.
