Biography
Midwikid emerged from Indiana during 2002 with their initial release, delivering a regional take on the propulsive rhythms and rugged delivery associated with the Dirty South movement. The duo of M.A.G. and B12 originated in Michigan City, IN, at the century’s start, crafting austere verses that mirrored their modest hometown background. A demo reached Arista Records late in 2001; the following year brought a contract with the imprint and a spring launch for their first album. Something Wikid This Way Comes incorporated productions by L.A. Reid and Kay Gee yet centered primarily on the work of Rated X, a fellow Indiana native.
