Biography
Miracle Fortress came together in 2005 when Graham Van Pelt of Think About Life began the project as his own solo outlet, fusing dreamy atmospheric noise pop textures with the psychedelic sensibilities of Brian Wilson. That same year he issued the first EP, Watery Grave, under the Miracle Fortress name on his own, then followed it two years later with the debut album Five Roses. Adam Waito of Telefauna, Jessie Stein from SS Cardiac, and Jordan Robson-Cramer joined to complete the live lineup. Backed by this expanded group, Van Pelt and Miracle Fortress delivered the shoegaze-influenced album Was I the Wave? in 2011.
