Neljä Ruusua

Established in 1982, the Finnish alt-metal outfit Neljä Ruusua—whose name translates as Four Roses—originally comprised Ilkka Alanko, Kode Koistinen, Lade Laakkonen, and Kamy. Over the course of its existence the group underwent repeated rebrandings, performing as Talouskukkaro through 1985 and later switching to 4R in the late 1990s during an attempt to reach American listeners. Its debut long-player Kasvulkipuja surfaced in 1987, after which the band issued more than a dozen further albums across the ensuing two decades.
