Niels Destadsbader

A well-known Belgian performer who acts, sings, and hosts television programs, Niels Destadsbader transitioned from television fame to mainstream pop success upon issuing his 2016 debut album Speeltijd, which earned platinum certification. Early recognition came through acting parts in series such as Amika, De Elfenheuvel, and F.C. De Kampioenen, followed by hosting duties on Dansdate, K3 zoekt K3, and De Wensboom. His path into music opened after he advanced to the semi-finals of the 2008 Steracte Sterartiest contest. Tracks and joint projects surfaced throughout the early 2010s and paved the way for Speeltijd. In 2018 he followed with Dertig, another double-platinum release, and one year later delivered the number-one album Boven de Wolken. Three singles reached listeners in 2020, one of which was “Noit alleen,” before “De wereld draait voor jou,” a collaboration with Regi, appeared the next year.
