Biography
Nodzzz, a trio hailing from the Bay Area, handle lo-fi aesthetics much like Wavves, Tyvek, and Lovvers, by laying down relaxed garage rock tunes captured with heavy distortion. Lacking a bass player, this power trio features guitarists and vocalists Anthony Atlas along with Sean Paul Presley, plus drummer Brian Girgus. Their debut 7-inch single, I Don’t Wanna (Smoke Marijuana), came out in 2007, after which they inked a deal with What’s Your Rapture that yielded a self-titled LP running 17 minutes in 2008, followed by the True to Life 7-inch in 2009. Having shared stages with Woodsist roster acts Woods and Real Estate, Nodzzz joined that imprint and prepared Innings for release in 2011.
