Biography
One Minute Silence ranks among the scant rap-metal groups to emerge from Great Britain, with its lineup anchored by lead vocalist Brian "Yap" Barry, guitarist Chris Ignatiou, bassist Glenn Diani, and drummer Eddie Stratton. Barry and Ignatiou first assembled the project in London under the name Near Death Experience, assigning Barry the drum slot at that stage. Once the full roster locked in and attracted label attention, the musicians switched to One Minute Silence to avoid confusion with existing American and French bands that already used the prior name. Big Cat put out the debut album Available in All Colors in 1998, and V2 followed with the next release, Buy Now...Saved Later, in early 2000.
