Biography
The OperaBabes derive their name from a passerby's remark overheard during a busking session in the piazza of London's Covent Garden Market, and they have since ascended to the ranks of the planet's foremost operatic duos. Classically trained singers Karen England and Rebecca Night first encountered each other in Cambridge during a staging of Mozart's The Magic Flute, and the resulting connection propelled them to the Champions League Final in Milan, where an agent representing Sony Music took notice. Subsequent to their performance for the Queen at the Royal Albert Hall, the duo set about crafting their first album, Beyond Imagination, which surfaced in 2003 to near-universal praise from reviewers.
