Biography
Forming the British garage duo Oxide & Neutrino are So Solid Crew's Alex Rivers, known as Oxide and born during 1982 in Isleworth, West London, together with Mark Oseitutu, who performs as Neutrino and originates from Brixton. Their paths crossed at a London pirate radio station, after which they began their joint work. The single "Bound 4 Da Reload (Casualty)," issued in April 2000, paved the way for their debut album Execute. That first full-length release reached No 11 on the UK album chart and thereby established a new benchmark among garage acts. The follow-up project Solid Sound of the Underground included contributions from DJ Dee Kline and So Solid Crew. The 2-step/British garage outfit also earned a Brit Award nomination for Best British Newcomer within the dance music field. In 2002 Oxide & Neutrino reappeared on the domestic charts via "Dem Girls (I Don't Know Why)," a track taken from the album 2 Stepz Ahead.
