Biography
Even without widespread public recognition, this experienced guitarist commands deep respect among Los Angeles insiders for his session contributions to recordings by Claus Ogerman, Jean-Luc Ponty, Mark Isham, Bobby McFerrin, the Commodores, and the Pointer Sisters. Maunu joined Isham and Patrick O'Hearn in Group 87, the short-lived early-'80s progressive outfit that remains a frequent topic of discussion. His sole album as a leader ranks among the Narada label's strongest releases.
