Biography
Qlowski fuse brooding yet strangely sunny elements of dark, noisy post-punk with shimmering, keyboard-driven indie pop. Several early EPs and singles paved the way for their propulsive debut full-length, Quale Futuro?, which appeared in 2021.
Formed originally in Bologna, Italy, and built around dual vocalists and musicians Michele Tellarini and Cecilia Corapi, the group issued its first EP independently in 2016. Once relocated to London, Qlowski tracked its initial 7" EP alongside Jonathan Clancy (His Clancyness), after which Mikey Young (Total Control) handled mastering duties; Clancy’s Maple Death Records issued the resulting Pure as Fear in 2018. The follow-up 7", “Ikea Youth”/“Grinding Halt,” surfaced two years later. Completed by bassist Danny Smartt and drummer Christian Billard, the quartet delivered its debut LP, Quale Futuro?, in 2021.
