Biography
Hailing from the diminutive Colorado settlement of Mead, Rachel Crow tried out for The X Factor upon turning thirteen. Her participation extended to the inaugural edition of the American iteration, where she achieved a fifth-place finish after delivering renditions of Duffy's "Mercy," Whitney Houston's "Run to You," and Beyoncé's "If I Were a Boy," among additional selections. Following this, Crow entered into a recording contract with Syco, the Columbia-associated imprint under Simon Cowell, while simultaneously securing an agreement with Nickelodeon. June 2012 marked the release of her debut musical offering, a five-song EP bearing her name that incorporated the bullying-opposed track "Mean Girls." Her acting pursuits included guest roles on the Nickelodeon series Fred: The Show and Big Time Rush.
