Jacob Anderson, the Bristol-born performer recognized for his parts in both Adulthood and Game of Thrones, records as Raleigh Ritchie. While sustaining his screen work, he spent the 2010s shaping an artful pop style that fused R&B, hip-hop, and electronic textures; the 2016 debut album You're a Man Now, Boy posted a respectable chart placement, and he opened the following decade with the successor Andy.

His earliest musical notice arrived on the 2008 Adulthood soundtrack through the track “I Need Love,” recorded with British rapper Plan B. Shortly thereafter he joined Columbia and began dividing his schedule between acting duties and a growing body of music. Citing Erykah Badu, David Bowie, and Stevie Wonder among his touchstones, he issued the first EP, The Middle Child, as a free digital download in 2013. Further visibility from his role as Grey Worm on the hit TV series Game of Thrones broadened his listenership, and the 2014 single “Stronger Than Ever,” drawn from the second EP Black and Blue, reached the UK singles chart’s Top 30. The full-length You're a Man Now, Boy followed in early 2016 and settled at number 32. After Stormzy appeared on that album, Ritchie returned the favor by featuring on the rapper’s 2017 LP Gang Signs & Prayer. Singles such as “Time in a Tree” and the forceful “Party Fear” preceded the 2020 arrival of his second album, Andy.
