Biography
Raúl Gómez first entered the world in 1995 inside Coria del Río, Seville, and later established himself as a Spanish pop vocalist and composer whose initial success arrived in the early 2010s after he took part in the televised contest El Número Uno. Because his relatives worked as musicians, he trained on violin and piano at the regional conservatory and sang in its choir. This environment also meant he became comfortable with road travel and live performances while still very young. After spending time in the United States as a teenager, he began crafting original material in both Spanish and English. In 2013 he auditioned for the second season of El Número Uno and ultimately won the competition at the age of 19. Sony Music issued his opening album, 1, during January 2014. After stepping away from the spotlight for several years, he resurfaced early in the 2020s under the name GOMZ, sporting an entirely new image and an electro-pop style.
