Spain's Abraham Mateo has built a multifaceted career as an actor, charting singer, producer, and songwriter whose work centers on soulful, dance-driven pop and reggaeton. His partnerships span Farruko, Pitbull, Alejandro Sanz, Yandel, and Jennifer Lopez, and he earned repeated Premios Juventud nominations beginning at age nine before Billboard placed him on its "21 under 21s Next Class" list in 2015.

Born in San Fernando, Cádiz, in 1998, Mateo was raised in a household filled with music and started singing near the age of three. His mother provided the first lessons, after which he pursued formal vocal training and mastered piano, flute, and guitar. His first sustained television exposure arrived in 2008 as a regular cast member on the children's program Manuda Noche. Around age ten he signed with EMI Music Spain, issuing his self-titled debut album the following year and appearing in the television films Días Sin Luz and Raphael.

Four years later he issued his second album, AM, through Sony. The project highlighted his artistic development and introduced stronger electronic and dance textures. Its key single "Señorita" reached number three and helped establish the record as a commercial breakthrough. In 2014 he followed with the third studio album Who I Am, which entered at number one in both Mexico and Spain and achieved platinum status.

A year later he released his fourth full-length, Are You Ready?, whose singles included "When You Love Somebody," "Mi Vecina," and "Mueve" featuring Lali. He teamed with Farruko and Christian Daniel for the 2017 track "Loco Enamorado." The 2018 single "Se Acabo el Amor," recorded with Yandel and Jennifer Lopez, topped the global Latin Pop Songs chart, while "Bom Bom" featuring Yenddi, De La Ghetto, and Jon Z placed inside the streaming Top 10 in 2019.
