Biography
Ray Foxx, an English producer and DJ working in dance music, first appeared on the Defected label in 2011 through the single “The Trumpeter,” which spotlighted vocalist Lovelle. Neither that release nor the 2012 follow-up “Butterflies” generated notable attention, yet Foxx broke through in 2013 with “Boom Boom (Heartbeat),” issued jointly by Strictly Rhythm and Island. Led by Welsh singer Rachel K. Collier and arriving that August, the track rose to number two on the U.K. dance chart while also entering the main U.K. singles chart, where it reached a peak of number 12.
