Biography
Emerging from the Hawaiian community of Ewa Beach, the industrial/goth rock group Razed in Black stands out as possibly the lone act of its kind to originate in the state. Romell Regulacion handles guitar, Chris Nelson covers vocals along with bass and synths, and Raj Kapololu plays drums, while the trio takes influence from Nine Inch Nails, Sister Machine Gun, and Chemlab. Formed during the mid-'90s, Razed in Black released a series of full-length albums on the Cleopatra label—Shrieks, Laments and Anguished Cries in 1996, Overflow in 1997, Sacrificed in 1999, and Damaged in 2003—alongside the 2001 EP Oh My Goth, which included remixes by DJ Rib, DJ Evil, and Matthew Grim.
