Dutch DJ Sidney Samson has built a reputation around his high-octane, rhythm-driven productions, establishing himself among the scene’s most sought-after remixers. He founded Samsobeats in 2007 and achieved his first major crossover in 2010 when “Riverside” topped the Dutch and British dance charts. The track cemented his status as a regular club staple, leading to joint work with figures such as David Guetta, Kylie Minogue, Far East Movement, and Flo Rida.

Samson, born in 1981, began on guitar at age seven but turned toward DJ culture at fourteen after witnessing the DMC Mix Championships. Early sets focused on R&B and hip-hop before the rising Dutch house movement pulled him in, eventually securing a residency at Amsterdam’s Matrixx nightclub. Following the 2007 launch of Samsobeats alongside Gregor Salto, he scored domestic hits with several singles. Three years later, the Wizard Sleeve–featured remix of “Riverside” delivered global exposure, peaking at number ten in Australia and number two in the U.K. while moving 97,000 copies during its opening week.

February 2010 brought the follow-up “Shut Up and Let It Go,” a collaboration with Lady Bee. Samson has maintained an active touring schedule and maintained a steady flow of partnerships, including Kylie Minogue on “Get Outta My Way,” Steve Aoki on “Wake Up Call,” Lil Jon on “Mutate,” and will.i.am on “Better Than Yesterday.” He wed Dutch singer Eva Simons in 2014; the pair released “Celebrate the Rain” that year and “Escape from Love” in 2016. In 2018 he teamed with Dutch rapper Sjaak for the album THOP, and the two also guested on Nielson’s track “Durven” from the singer’s Diamant album.
