Biography
Emerging in 1975 amid the nascent punk era, the Skiantos originated as an Italian punk outfit. Performance art frequently infiltrated their initial concerts, such as one occasion when they assembled a temporary kitchen onstage to prepare and consume pasta in complete silence toward spectators. Multiple dissolutions and reunions marked their trajectory across subsequent decades. The 2009 release Dio Ci Deve delle Spiegazioni charted in Italy for a fortnight, reaching a high of position 92.
