Biography
Originating in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Skip the Foreplay blend the aggression of metalcore with the grooves of synth-driven pop to shape their electronicore approach. Established in 2010, the group took cues from acts such as Attack Attack! by fusing dance and metal into an extravagant burst of sonic indulgence, where the outer reaches of extreme music intersect with the glossy, Auto-Tuned sheen of contemporary pop singles. Punk powerhouse Epitaph discovered the band through its inaugural release, "This City (We're Taking Over)," and offered a deal in 2011. The six-piece Canadian unit issued its first album on the label, Nightlife, in 2012.
