Woe, Is Me

Emerging from Atlanta, Georgia, metalcore outfit Woe, Is Me contended with internal conflicts nearly as volatile as their sound. The group assembled in 2009 and drew early notice when their debut full-length, Number[s], landed at number 16 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart in 2010. Their sophomore album, Genesi[s], followed in 2012, with the EP American Dream appearing the next year. Despite securing a deal with Rise Records, the band repeatedly cycled through personnel. Their concluding roster included clean vocalist Hance Alligood, unclean vocalist Doriano Magliano, guitarists Kevin Hanson—the sole remaining founding member—and Andrew Paiano, bassist Brian Medley, and drummer David Angle. Once Hance Alligood disclosed his departure in summer 2013, the members opted to disband rather than endure another roster overhaul.
