Slapshot

Slapshot came together in the early 1980s from members who had previously played in various Boston hardcore groups. Their first record, Back on the Map, appeared in 1984. Two more albums came out in 1988 and 1989, featuring vocalist Choke alongside guitarist Darryl Sheppard, bassist Chris Lauria, and drummer Barry Hite; this configuration held steady through the middle of the 1990s until Lauria and Hite departed.
