Small Towns Burn A Little Slower

Twin Cities-area emo rockers Small Towns Burn a Little Slower formed in 2002. After locking in vocalist Danny Wolf, guitarists Tommy Rehbein and Joel Trowbridge, bassist Ryan Traster, and drummer Sean Carey, the group put out a self-titled EP through Rise Records. Persistent roadwork came next, bringing them substantial local notice amid a scene that also featured the heartfelt pop-punk combo Motion City Soundtrack. For the full-length Mortality as Home Entertainment, Small Towns Burn a Little Slower teamed with Ed Rose, the producer behind releases by Get Up Kids and Ultimate Fakebook. New York-based indie Triple Crown released the album on July 26, 2005, after which the band hit the road once more.
