Biography
Initially operating as Mindlab, the duo Smash TV—Holger Zilske and Michael Schmidt—issued a single well-received tech-house track on the Salo label, the same imprint that introduced SCSI-9. After moving operations to Berlin’s Bpitch Control, they issued the album Electrified along with multiple singles that drew widespread praise from critics abroad. Schmidt departed in 2003, citing fatigue with the ongoing demands of touring, production, and related activities, after which Zilske maintained the project alone. He proceeded to complete Bits for Breakfast on Bpitch, enlisting tech-house vocalist Raz Ohara to contribute vocals across several tracks. Zilske has since remained almost exclusively affiliated with Bpitch Control, issuing the Air and Yellow Asteroids singles during the middle of 2006.
