Under the stage name SOULFIA, Chilean vocalist Sofía Walker merges the sleek textures of contemporary R&B with the fire of urbano music. Having sung since she was five, she converted those early dreams into a sustained profession by the opening years of the 2020s. Her recorded bow arrived via the 2017 single “Piel,” followed by “Toda la Noche” two years later. Throughout 2020 and into late 2021 she maintained a steady release schedule that included “Dolce & Gabana,” “City Girls,” and “Pantera,” culminating in the GÉNESIS EP, whose tracks blended classic Latin rhythms with reggaeton, pop, and trap. In 2022 she issued the eight-song project Brujerias de Cantina. Additional singles appeared across 2023 and 2024, among them the club hit “Inmortal,” which fused house with Latin funk and cumbia. SOULFIA further paired with punky rapper Siggy for the collaborative Latin pop track “Duele.”

Born in Santiago, she grew up surrounded by musicians—her brothers, father, and grandfather all played. Her first steady work consisted of backing her grandfather’s band, an experience that overlapped with childhood sessions singing alongside her brothers and later touring as a background vocalist for him. Key influences range from Solomon Burke to Joss Stone and Chaka Khan. SOULFIA’s initial label affiliation came through Def Jam, where she joined the female vocal group A Girl Called Jane. A short time afterward she secured a solo contract with Republic’s Brookland Records. While performing at clubs and festivals, she also built a parallel résumé as a dancer for Chris Brown, Jennifer Lopez, and additional artists. She re-released her debut solo single “Piel” in 2017 and followed it with 2019’s “Toda la Noche.” Charting singles such as “Dolce & Gabbana,” “City Girls,” and “Pantera” preceded her breakthrough GÉNESIS EP, a set of sultry anthems that incorporated traditional Latin rhythms into reggaeton, Latin pop, neo-soul, and trap. The 2022 eight-track Brujerias de Cantina yielded the charting single “Mirama a la Cara.” She also forms one half of the hip-hop, neo-soul, and pop duo P.S. Fam alongside her brother Prince; the pair released “Cry to Me” and “Cuando” that same year.

After completing a tour she resumed single-focused work, issuing the October 2024 club track “Inmortal,” which combined house, Latin funk, and cumbia. In November 2024 she reunited with Siggy for the Latin trap collaboration “Duele.” Beyond performance, SOULFIA maintains credentials as a certified nutritionist and physical trainer, having developed the fitness and diet regimen Bunsology Body. She additionally hosts her own Amazon Prime series, SOULFIA.
