Biography
The Dunwells, a folk-rock group based in Leeds, consist of brothers Joseph on vocals and guitar along with David Dunwell handling vocals, piano, banjo, and guitar, completed by their schoolmates Rob Clayton on bass and Adam Taylor on drums. Since forming in 2009 the quartet has concentrated on rich four-part vocal harmonies supported by a potent blend of electric and acoustic instruments, prompting comparisons to Mumford & Sons and Fleet Foxes as well as classic acts such as the Eagles and Crosby, Stills & Nash. Their debut album Blind Sighted Faith appeared on the Playing in Traffic label in February 2012. The following year a resequenced and retitled U.K. edition surfaced as Follow the Road, incorporating alternate versions and remixes. In 2014 the group issued the EP Show Me Emotion. They returned in 2015 with the four-song EP Lucky Ones, produced by the band together with James Flannigan.
