Biography
Following the hiatus declared by Live in July 2009, guitarist Chad Taylor joined bassist Patrick Dahlheimer and drummer Chad Gracey in reviving several of Taylor’s earlier compositions and sustaining their musical partnership. What started as casual jam sessions developed into a complete group once Candlebox vocalist Kevin Martin came aboard. Martin arrived with guitarist Sean Hennesy, who had entered Candlebox’s lineup as a sideman in 2006, and the resulting five musicians shifted their undivided focus to the Gracious Few after Live’s permanent dissolution that November. Several months later the post-grunge supergroup entered the studio with Jerry Harrison, formerly of Talking Heads, to record an album. The self-titled debut appeared in fall 2010 and was followed by a national tour.
